Yes - that's a very original one Trev - though v3.40 will work for the 200 but is scarce as hen's teeth and since then certain functionalities were built into the firmware for the old 200's that caused many to switch.
The first reference, now with a bit of time to search, is this one 18 October 2007 at 1:03pm - ignore the references to the 200 because I imagine this would apply to all Street Nav models that we know are taking (perfect 1sec) tracklogs these days and then this was the next I could find 03 November 2009 at 7:09pm
I'm sure there must be more within Forum.

I really wish Garmin will realize that ... we like GPSr devices for the information
value they bring. Given the increasing detail on electronic maps and
traffic information, the information proposition is huge. Now add a
proper logbook feature with a supporting PC application and you should
see Garmin sales blast the stratosphere!

Looks like Garmin Connect is the panacea! Check it out http://connect.garmin.com/features
Best of all, it appears that this service is ours to make of it what we want. The last slide says: Because Garmin Connect was designed specifically for Garmin we take
requests and concerns very seriously. Have a feature you'd like to see
at Connect? Let us know and we'll see what can be done to get it
implemented. Have a problem? Contact our support team and we'll get it
solved as quickly as possible.
Oregon, here I come!
