Hi there

Can someone please tell me if Tourguide will work on my Samsung Omnia phone. I have read through the forum and see that it supports a seleft few Street Pilot and Nuvi devices, but can't find an answer to my question. Emailing Garmin was a waste of time.

Thank you

You have me just a tad confused here.....

You seem to have mixed a few things which makes for my asking the following... if I come through as stupid, then at last, the truth is finally out! - Forgive me!

If you are referring to the function of Voice/sound files to announce/play at entry of Custom Waypoints, the answer is: "No..." this function is not supported in either the Symbian, nor Windows Mobile versions of Garmin Mobile XT.

If your question relates to the compatibility of the phone to the bluetooth function on anyone of the Bluetooth enabled Garmin Street Navigators, then the answer is: "Yes!"

Welcome to the Forum now05ster

That's not a question we've had before so perhaps there will be a knowledgeable answer for you from a member with direct experience soon.  In the meantime, the easiest way to know for sure is to load the TollOne_Voice toll plaza data set when you update the RS Data next week.  Save the file in your usual place for Internet downloads, unzip and execute (dble-click) the two files therein.  Go to C:\ and find the TollOne_Voice_POI folder there - place that in your POI Loader Load folder with the other 4 RS Data folders for the week (leave the TollOne_Voice_MP3 folder where it is in C:\) and if you hear the various plazas announced and their respective tariffs, then the Samsung with Mobile XT is compatible with TourGuide custom POI.

Eish.... - You don't believe me?.... the Toll_One_Voice will NOT work on any Garmin Mobile XT version. - No point in trying....

No need for apologies! - Remember; I'm (still) married, so I'm quite used to ambiguity

I guess we can close the Topic as dealt with then - I've modified the title just a little as well.
